Yield: 2 8 x 11-inch breads
Fluffy and salty with aromas of olive oil and fresh herbs, focaccia is a true all-purpose bread. Great by itself as a snack, it can stand in for dinner rolls, or be used as a base for a variety of casual appetizers. Split horizontally, it makes wonderful sandwich bread, especially with hearty meats. Or try adding one of the fun toppings below, and cut into squares for party hors d’oeuvres.
Followed the recipe exactly and produced bread perfection. Served warm out of the oven with caramelized onions, sorry... pantry was bare - out of Gorgonzola, but next time and there will be a next time soon I plan on trying the topping suggestions.
